This Privacy Policy explains how Shinlo Labs ("we", "us"), a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam Reg. No. UDYAM-UP-16-0053577), collects, uses and protects personal data when businesses use our products, including Frontwise, and when their customers interact with them. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. Who this applies to
- Businesses ("clients") who use Frontwise to talk to their customers.
- Customers of those businesses who message them on WhatsApp.
- Visitors to shinlolabs.com.
2. Data we process
- Contact details: name, WhatsApp number, and (for businesses) email and business details.
- Messages: text, voice notes, photos and locations a customer sends to a business, and the replies.
- Order and booking details: items, delivery address, payment status, delivery updates.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
3. How we use it
- To answer customers on behalf of the business, take orders and bookings, and send updates about them.
- To show the business its orders, chats and reports.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve quality.
We do not sell personal data and do not use customer messages for advertising.
4. Our role
For customer conversations, the business is the Data Fiduciary and Shinlo Labs acts as its Data Processor, processing data only on the business's instructions.
5. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the service, including Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), cloud hosting, and AI providers (such as Google Gemini) to understand messages and voice notes. They process data only to provide their service to us.
6. Retention
We keep data while the business uses our service and as needed for legal or accounting requirements. A business can ask us to delete its data, and a customer can contact the business or us to request deletion.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Write to us at the address below.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and limited access by staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform affected users of a breach as required by law.
9. Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data of children for any purpose other than serving a business's customers.
